Terri Bodell is a consultant Clinical Psychotherapist specialising in life skills development. She has been helping people to deal with the challenges of work and their private lives for over 14 years.
She is a Meta-Master Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and holds a Diploma in the treatment of eating disorders. Terri is also the Deputy Chairman of one of the UK’s leading therapy organisations, the National Association of Counsellors, Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists (NACHP).
Terri has written articles on depression, stress, life skills, eating disorders and other psychological issues for a number of publications in the UK. She is editor of the NACHP journal to which she also contributes.
Terri has also featured in Scottish Television’s leading documentary series ‘Faith Without Walls’ covering topics of ‘sex and sexuality’ and ‘death and dying,’ and has given numerous radio interviews on a variety of psychological health and life skill problems including BBC Radio Scotland and BBC Three Counties Radio.
Terri has led numerous life skills development courses, on an individual and a corporate basis. She has been invited as a guest speaker for various organisations.
In addition to her busy practice she is currently running a series of courses on stress management for cardiac patients at Barnet General and Chase Farm Hospitals Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit.
Terri’s Education and Qualifications
Terri studied with the National Association of Counsellors, Hypnotherapists and Psychotherapists at Regent’s College, London where she was awarded the NACHP’s Diploma in Counselling, Psychotherapy and Hypnosis with Distinction, one of only a handful of individuals to achieve this level.
Over the years she has trained with some of the leading authorities. Terri was, in fact, taught Neuro-Linguistic Programming by Richard Bandler (co-founder of NLP) and Paul McKenna and is a qualified Meta-Master Practitioner in NLP which she uses to help give her clients excellent results.
She is UKCHO registered and has recently joined the board of UKCHO as she feels passionately that members of the public should only be treated by hypnotherapists that adhere to national standards of ethics and training and are safe and competent to practice.
She has also completed courses with the University of Hertfordshire in relation to Solution Focused Brief Therapy, self harm prevention and domestic abuse survivors and has a Certificate in Stress Management and Wellbeing. In addition Terri holds a Certificate in Personal Coaching issued by The Coaching Academy.
